This album contains approximately 77 carte-de-visite images of various Roman Catholic popes, cardinals, archbishops, and bishops. Individuals depicted include Leo XIII, Pius IX, Gregory XVI, Henry Edward Manning, and Nicholas Patrick Wiseman. A stamp on the inside front cover of the album suggests that the album once belonged to the Bishop's House in Clifton, Bristol, England. Elsewhere, an inscription in pencil reads "Prior Park, June 1871."
